The European Society of Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Nurses and Associates (ESGENA) is focused on the promotion and the advancement of endoscopy and gastroenterology nursing through the facilitation of communication and education activities. It has over 7,000 members in more than 40 countries mostly in Europe, and also worldwide.
Chemnitz Hospital is a maximum care hospital. The non-profit organisation has 1,735 beds at three locations in Chemnitz. This makes it the third largest hospital in Germany under municipal ownership. In 25 clinics and institutes, we work on the holistic and individualised care of our patients.
In 2023, around 67,300 patients received inpatient and day-case treatment and around 75,000 patients received outpatient treatment. The hospital and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies currently employ around 7,100 people. The Klinikum Chemnitz Group realised annual sales of around € 600 million in 2023.
Klinikum Chemnitz gGmbH is wholly owned by the City of Chemnitz and emerged from Städtische Kliniken Chemnitz in 1994. The historical roots of the company lie in the 14th century, in particular in the hospital outside the city gates, which is mentioned in a document from around 1350, and the Hospital St. Georg, which is recorded in a source from 1395.
Chemnitz Hospital is an academic teaching hospital for the universities in Dresden and Leipzig. The TU Dresden and Chemnitz Hospital jointly offer the MEDiC medical model study programme.

Dr. Henke Medical Training + Education specializes in the development and distribution of simulators and mannequins for medical training.
As a young Leipzig-based company, we work closely with universities and medical colleges to develop new products with innovative approaches.
